A new company. Not a new beginning.
Built on a lifelong love of broadcasting, years of hands-on production experience and a belief that the best entertainment should make people feel something.
Before the company, there was Global Academy.
In 2016, I joined the inaugural cohort at Global Academy, studying Broadcast and Digital Media. It was where my childhood fascination with radio and television became something practical: learning how programmes are planned, produced and put on air.
Being surrounded by other young creatives gave me the confidence to experiment, take responsibility and find my voice as a producer.
My first taste of building something.
When Youths Choice launched in 2017, I was part of the team helping build a youth-led radio station from the ground up. I went on to take editorial leadership responsibilities, including Deputy Managing Editor and Director of Content.
That meant thinking beyond individual programmes: helping shape the schedule, supporting young presenters and producers, developing content and creating a station with its own identity.
I left in 2018 after graduating from Global Academy, but the experience taught me something important: making great content is one thing. Building a place where other people can make it is another.
From student radio to national platforms.
Since then, I've worked across national radio, video podcasts and digital production, including Capital XTRA, Global Player, LBC, Fix Radio, BBC radio programmes, Phonic Content and the British Library.
I've rebuilt specialist music programming, produced daily live radio, delivered approximately 70 podcast episodes across four series and created digital content reaching hundreds of thousands of viewers.
Every role has taught me something: how to work with talent, understand audiences, make editorial decisions under pressure and carry an idea through to delivery.
It was time to build something of my own.
I created Overstone Road because I didn't want to spend my whole career bringing only other people's ideas to life. I wanted to build a creative home for the formats, stories and talent I believe in.
It's a new independent production company, but it comes from years spent in real studios, production teams and editorial environments. I understand what it takes to get something made and how much care goes into making it good.
My ambition goes beyond one medium. Radio, podcasts, digital and the kind of Saturday-night entertainment people want to watch together: that's the world I want Overstone Road to be part of.
Big Ideas. Proper Production.
We know what makes a show work.
From the first idea to the final edit, we bring a producer's understanding of storytelling, talent, structure and audience.
We've done the work.
Our founder's track record spans live national broadcasting, specialist music, podcasts and high-performing digital content.
Close collaboration. Real ambition.
We're building a company where ideas get attention, partners are involved and every production is shaped around what it needs.
